Marie-Paule Derde was born in Aalst
(Belgium) in 1955. She is the Head
of Biometrics in Veeda. She has a
PhD in Pharmacy and is also a
recognized Industrial Pharmacist.
She worked at the “Vrije
Universiteit Brussel” (VUB) for 10
years in the Departments of
Analytical Chemistry and
Biostatistics.
She founded DICE in 1989 and has
been the General Manager since. Mrs.
Derde is also visiting lecturer in
the Master Program in Medical and
Pharmaceutical Research (VUB), the
Pharmed Program in Pharmacology and
Pharmaceutical Medicine (ULB), and
the Interuniversity Program in
Industrial Pharmacy, as well as
statistical consultant at the
Department of Reproductive Medicine
of the VUB. She is the author of
over 100 publications and 2 software
packages in the fields of
Chemometrics and Clinical Research.
